A dabab delivering purchases, items and goods across Jeddah: pickups from showrooms, Haraj and stores, multi-stop runs and shop orders. A run within the district from SAR 45, north to south Jeddah from SAR 185, nearby cities by booking.
A Jeddah delivery and errand dabab solves a problem everyone in the city knows: you bought something and cannot move it. The showroom does not deliver, or charges a high fee, or offers a slot days away; your car is too small, and calling a truck for one piece makes no sense. A dabab is a small pick-up with an open cargo bed. At Jeddah Dabab Express we collect from anywhere in Jeddah and deliver into your home or shop at a price you know before we set off; book by call or WhatsApp on 0544866865 at any hour.
This guide is the companion to the furniture moving guide, covering the other side of the dabab: errands and moving items and goods. You will learn the types of runs we do, how a run is really priced, why a short run with three stops can cost more than a long run with one, when store delivery is cheaper for you and when the dabab is, and how a small shop owner gains from regular runs instead of buying a van.
- A run within the district from SAR 65, between neighbouring districts with a medium load from SAR 110, and north to south Jeddah from SAR 185.
- We collect from showrooms, Haraj, stores, courier offices and warehouses, and carry items into the flat.
- A multi-stop run counts as one run, which beats several delivery fees.
- Regular runs for shops run on a schedule and price agreed in advance, and after-closing slots are available.
- We reach Makkah, Taif and nearby cities by booking, 24 hours a day.

What is a dabab run and when does it suit you?
A dabab run is a delivery of ready items from one point to another inside Jeddah or to a nearby city, without dismantling and without moving a whole home. It suits you when the load is bigger than a passenger car and smaller than a house move: a showroom piece, cartons, a shop order, or things between two homes.
The difference between a run and a furniture move is the work itself. In a move we dismantle, wrap every piece and reassemble in the new home; on a run the items are usually ready: a wrapped piece from the showroom, sealed cartons or stacked stock. That makes a run faster and cheaper. If you have a full room that needs taking apart, the Jeddah furniture moving dabab guide fits you better.
| What you want delivered | Is a dabab run enough? | Note |
|---|---|---|
| A showroom piece: sofa, bed or cabinet | Yes | We collect and carry it up to the flat |
| A new appliance: fridge, washer or TV | Yes | Fridge upright, TV in its box |
| Purchases from several shops | Yes, as a multi-stop run | One price for the trip |
| A large parcel from a courier office | Yes | With the details and shipment number |
| Shop stock: cartons and shelving | Usually yes | If it is a lot, we suggest a wanet |
| A small light envelope or parcel | Not the cheapest option | A motorbike courier suits it better |
| A full room that needs dismantling | That is a move, not a run | See furniture moving |
The types of runs we do
We do six kinds of runs: single runs, multi-stop runs, multi-job days, regular shop runs, runs outside Jeddah and urgent runs. Each has its own planning and pricing:
What we notice most is that people do not know a multi-stop run is possible, so they book three runs in a day or pay three delivery fees. If you are buying from more than one place, settle the purchases first and then call us once; we will plan the shortest route between the stops.

What do we deliver on runs?
We deliver anything that fits the dabab bed and may legally be carried: showroom purchases, appliances, second-hand pieces from Haraj, online store orders, large parcels, shop stock, event equipment and items between two homes. These are what we carry most days:
- Showroom purchases: sofas, tables, wardrobes, mattresses, rugs and large decor pieces.
- Appliances: fridges, washers, TVs, ACs and cookers from the dealer or shop. Details in household appliance moving in Jeddah.
- Haraj purchases: second-hand furniture and appliances from the Al Sawarikh Haraj or a listing on the Haraj platform. Read dabab moving furniture from Jeddah Haraj.
- Online store orders: pickup from the collection point or warehouse and delivery to the flat.
- Parcels and shipments: pickup from courier offices when the parcel is bigger than your car. Details in parcel and shipment delivery in Jeddah.
- Shop stock: cartons, bags, display shelving and stands.
- Restaurant and cafe equipment: stainless tables, display fridges, grills and chairs.
- Spare parts and tools: workshop supplies, project materials and light maintenance items.
- Event equipment: chairs, tables and wedding and party supplies.
- Items between two homes: or from home to a storage unit and back.
How is a dabab run priced in Jeddah?
A run is priced on four things: distance, number of stops, waiting time, and the floor and lift at delivery. Starting prices: a run within the district from SAR 65, between neighbouring districts with a medium load from SAR 110, and north to south Jeddah from SAR 185. We state the final price before the dabab moves.
Distance
Distance is the base, but not the strongest factor people assume. Al Safa to Al Marwah is short and easy, Obhur to Al Khomrah is long but on a highway, while a run inside Al Balad’s lanes can take longer than both because of stopping and traffic.
Number of stops
Every stop means extra parking and loading or unloading. Three short stops can cost more than one far stop, yet still far less than three separate runs, because the road is driven once.
Waiting time
Reasonable waiting while you settle the bill at the showroom or the seller readies the piece is part of the run. Long waits, such as a warehouse taking an hour to prepare an order, are agreed before setting off so they are no surprise.
Floor and lift
Carrying a fridge to a fifth floor with no lift is not the same as leaving it at the building door. Mention the floor and lift at delivery, and at pickup too if you are collecting from a home.
| Type of run | Price | Example |
|---|---|---|
| A run within the district | from SAR 65 | A washer from a shop in Al Safa to a flat in Al Safa |
| Between neighbouring districts, medium load | from SAR 110 | A room’s items from Al Naeem to Al Mohammadiyah |
| North to south Jeddah | from SAR 185 | Cartons and pieces from Obhur to Al Balad |
| Multi-stop run | Set by stops and waiting | Ask for an itemised quote |
| Multi-job day | Set by route and time | Ask for an itemised quote |
| Load bigger than a dabab | Small wanet from SAR 140 | Medium from SAR 230, large from SAR 320 |
| Run to a nearby city | Set by load and destination | Ask for a trip quote |

A real example: a three-stop run in one day
A three-stop run saves you two full trips, and here is the kind of request we get every week. A family in Al Marwah bought a sofa from a showroom on Tahlia Street, a washer from an appliance shop in Al Safa, and a used table from a seller in Al Rawdah.
Delivering each piece separately would have meant paying three times, waiting for three slots, and perhaps the sofa arriving three days later. Instead they called us once: we started in Al Rawdah because the seller wanted an early handover, then Al Safa, then Tahlia, then Al Marwah. All three pieces arrived in one trip, we carried them to the third floor and placed each where it belonged.
- Before calling: the family had the invoices, the seller’s number and a map pin for each stop.
- On the call: they listed the three stops, the third floor with a small lift, and sent photos.
- Before setting off: they received the final price for the whole trip, the stop order and a rough time for each.
- During the run: we sent a photo of each piece at pickup, so they knew it was in the bed.
- At delivery: the sofa went up the stairs because it did not fit the lift, the washer and table by lift.
Store delivery or a dabab?
Store delivery suits you when it is free or nominal, the slot works for you and it goes up to your flat; a dabab suits you when the store fee is high, you want the piece today, you buy from several places or you need carrying to a high floor. Many showrooms charge delivery as a share of the bill or a high fixed fee, because delivery is not their main business.
| Situation | Better choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| One piece from a nearby showroom with free delivery | Usually the store | No need to pay for a run |
| A piece from a far showroom with a high fee | Dabab | A clearer separate price |
| Buying from several shops | Dabab | One run instead of several fees |
| You need the piece today | Dabab | The store delivers on its own schedule |
| Buying from Haraj | Dabab | Sellers usually do not deliver |
| The flat is on a high floor | Dabab | Some stores only deliver to the building door |
Three points usually settle it: the dabab keeps a time you choose, carries the piece into your flat, and combines several jobs in one trip. The full comparison with examples is in the store delivery or dabab guide, and the delivery service itself is on delivery dabab in Jeddah.
Runs for shops and small businesses
A small shop needs regular runs, not an owned van: stock from the warehouse to the branch, wholesale orders out, shelving and fittings moved. The dabab plays the role of their own vehicle without its price, a driver’s salary or maintenance, so they pay only when they need it.
- Moving stock from the warehouse to the branch, or between two branches.
- Delivering wholesale orders to customers within Jeddah.
- Moving display shelves, stands and counters during a refit.
- Delivering daily and weekly supplies for cafes and restaurants.
- Collecting shipments from courier offices and bringing them to the shop.
- Orders for home businesses: cartons of sweets, perfumes and clothes to customers and sales points.
Why a fixed schedule costs less
When we know you have a run every Tuesday morning, we plan our day around it, so the dabab is there on time with no waiting. That stability allows a price agreed in advance for the repeat run. The second gain is that the driver learns your warehouse, shop, entrances and best parking spot, so each run gets shorter than the last.
Moving after working hours
Many Jeddah shops prefer restocking after closing or before opening: the street is calmer, parking is free and no customers get in the way. We work 24 hours, so a late slot is not an exception but part of our day. Details in the guide to delivery runs for shops and moving shop goods in Jeddah.
Collecting on your behalf: what we need
We collect for you from a showroom, shop or courier office once you give us three things: the place’s name and location, the invoice, order or shipment number, and the name and number of the contact there. If the place asks for the recipient’s ID, arrange the authorisation with them before we arrive.
- We call you on arrival at the pickup point and send a photo of the piece before loading.
- We check the carton from outside, and if it is torn or wet we tell you before taking it.
- Payment to the seller is between you and them; we carry no cash on anyone’s behalf.
- We hand the piece to you or whoever you name, and carry it to the spot you choose.
Runs for a new home and for events
Runs for a new home and for events are among the most frequent in Jeddah, and they differ from a furniture move because the items are few and ready. A student or employee moving to new lodgings usually has bags, cartons, a mattress and a small fridge, and all of that is one run, not a house move.
Events work another way: chairs, tables and supplies collected from a store or a relative’s home and delivered to a hall or rest house hours before, then brought back the same night or next morning. Book both legs together and tell us when the event ends, so we schedule both trips on time and you are not hunting for a dabab at midnight.
- Student and single lodgings: bags, cartons, a mattress and small appliances in one run.
- Events and weddings: there before the start and back after, in one booking.
- Seasonal items: moving storeroom or winter things to the home and back.
- Donating furniture: delivering pieces you no longer need to the family or charity that wants them.
How a run is carried out
A run takes six steps from your first message to handover, and knowing them helps you prepare before calling:
- Pickup point: the showroom or shop name, or a map pin.
- Delivery point: district, address, floor and whether there is a lift.
- The items: a WhatsApp photo is clearer than any description.
- The stops: if the run has more than one point, with any fixed times.
- Price and time: we send the final price and what it covers in one message.
- Pickup and delivery: we load, secure, drive and carry up, and you check the piece with us before we leave.
Securing and wrapping, even on a short run
Even a run within the district needs straps and covers on exposed pieces, because one speed bump is enough to move an unstrapped fridge. Showroom pieces usually come boxed, yet we still put a blanket between them and the bed wall and strap them down.
| Item | How we secure it |
|---|---|
| Fridge or washer | Upright in a corner of the bed, two straps, hand truck for carrying |
| TV | Upright in its box or between two blankets, nothing on top |
| Sofa or mattress | Covered with a blanket or plastic cover and strapped on both sides |
| Stock cartons | Heaviest at the bottom, then a net or ropes over them |
| Glass or mirrors | Bubble wrap and strong cardboard, carried upright |
| Second-hand pieces without a box | Blanket, stretch film and cardboard corners |
The best times for errands in Jeddah
The best time for runs in Jeddah is between 10 am and 2 pm, when shops are open and roads calmer, or after midnight for restocking. Traffic peaks in the morning commute and the evening return, heaviest on King Abdulaziz Road, Tahlia Street, King Fahd Road and Madinah Road.
| Period | Rating | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 7 am to 9 am | Busy | Morning commute |
| 10 am to 2 pm | Best | Shops open, calmer roads |
| 4 pm to 7 pm | Busy | Evening return |
| 8 pm to 11 pm | Good | Fine for pickups before shops close |
| After midnight | Excellent | For restocking and warehouse runs |
In Ramadan it flips: before sunset roads are at their quietest, after Taraweeh they crowd heavily near the markets, and the hours between Isha and midnight are among the best for runs. Details in the guide to moving in Ramadan in Jeddah.
Runs from Jeddah to nearby cities
You do not need a full shipping company to send a few pieces to Makkah or Rabigh; a dabab gives you a trip for your items alone, with one loading and one unloading. Shipping companies are built for large consignments, with schedules tied to trips you may wait days for, and collection hubs that mean repeated loading and unloading, each a new chance of a scratch.

| Destination | Nature of the trip | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Jeddah to Makkah | Close on a fast road, usually done the same day | Set by load and destination |
| Jeddah to Thuwal | North on the coastal road | Set by load and destination |
| Jeddah to Khulais | A direct run on the highways | Set by load and destination |
| Jeddah to Rabigh | A flat, smooth coastal road | Set by load and destination |
| Jeddah to Al Kamil | A quieter route with easy slots | Set by load and destination |
| Jeddah to Taif | A mountain stretch; book early | Set by load and destination |
| Jeddah to Yanbu | A long trip that needs booking | Set by load and destination |
| Jeddah to Madinah | The longest trip; needs booking | Set by load and destination |

How do you book a run in a minute?
You book with one WhatsApp message holding six details: pickup point, delivery point with floor and lift, a photo of the items, the number of stops, the time, and any expected waiting. That message is enough for us to reply with the final price and arrival time without back-and-forth:
- From where? The shop or showroom name, or a map pin.
- To where? District, address, floor and lift.
- What? A photo of the items, clearer than any description.
- How many stops? If the run has more than one point.
- When? Now, within an hour, or at a set time.
- Any waiting? Such as finishing the bill at the showroom.

You then receive a message from us with the price, the stops and what it covers before we set off, and that is our agreement. You can also call directly on the Jeddah dabab number.
Common errand mistakes and how to avoid them
Most things that delay a run or raise its price are details not mentioned at the start. These are the ones we see most:
| Mistake | What it causes | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Not mentioning floor and lift | A price that changes at delivery | Mention both in the first message |
| A piece not paid or not ready at the showroom | Long waiting | Confirm it is ready before booking |
| Not measuring the door and lift | A piece that will not enter the flat | Measure before buying |
| Booking each stop alone | Paying more and losing time | Combine them in one run |
| A district name with no pin in large districts | Searching for the address | Send a map pin |
| A load bigger than described | A second trip | Send a photo of everything |
Questions to ask before booking a run
Ask for the final price of the whole trip, whether it includes carrying into the flat and waiting, and how the items will be secured. A mover who answers these clearly spares you most problems:
- What is the final price for the run with all its stops?
- Does it include carrying up to the flat, or delivery at the door?
- How many minutes of waiting are included?
- Will the items be strapped and covered?
- When will the dabab reach the first stop?
- Will I get a photo of the piece at pickup?
- What happens if the seller is slow to get it ready?
To spot a serious mover from the first call, read the guide to choosing a reliable dabab in Jeddah.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a dabab run in Jeddah?
A run within the district starts from SAR 65, a run between neighbouring districts with a medium load from SAR 110, and north to south Jeddah from SAR 185. A multi-stop run is set by the number of stops and waiting time, and we state it before setting off.
Can several stops be combined in one run?
Yes. We go to the showroom, then the shop, then your home in one trip and charge it as one run at one price, which beats three separate runs or three delivery fees.
Do you deliver into the flat or to the building door?
We carry the items into your flat. Mention the floor and whether there is a lift at the start so the price is right first time.
Will you collect from a showroom or courier office for me?
Yes. Give us the showroom or office name, the invoice or order number and the contact there, and we send you a photo of the item at pickup.
Can I ride along with my items?
Yes, you can ride with the driver to stay with your items. But a run is an item delivery service, not a taxi for carrying people without a load.
Can I book the dabab for several jobs in one day?
Yes. We plan one route for all your jobs that day, priced by route, stops and time, so ask for an itemised quote before the date.
Do you work on holidays and at night?
Yes, the service runs 24 hours all week, and night and after-closing slots are a normal part of our work.
Can I set up regular runs for my shop?
Yes. We agree a weekly or monthly schedule at a clear price in advance, and the driver learns your warehouse, shop and entrances so each run gets shorter.
What is the largest load for one run?
Whatever fits the dabab bed: one large piece such as a fridge or sofa, several medium pieces, or about twenty cartons. If the load is larger, we suggest a wanet.
Do you run errands to Makkah and Taif?
Yes, by prior booking, priced by load and destination, so ask for a trip quote. We also reach Rabigh, Thuwal, Khulais, Al Kamil, Yanbu and Madinah.
