Moving furniture and appliances you bought at the haraj market or from an ad on the Haraj platform to your home in Jeddah. We cover and strap used pieces, unload to your door, and agree the price first; one piece within a district starts from SAR 45.
Dabab moving furniture from Jeddah Haraj is what you need once you have agreed to buy and the hardest part remains: how does that sofa, cabinet or fridge reach your home without a scratch or a surprise? A dabab is a compact pickup truck with an open rear bed. With Jeddah Dabab Express we load what you bought, cover it, strap it down and bring it to your door. Call or message us on 0544866865 at any hour with the location of the piece, your district and the floor.
Moving used furniture is not like moving new. It has no original carton to protect it, no one can vouch for its inner condition, and its frame is often weaker than it looks. So we treat it with extra care: we check it is sound before lifting, cover it well, and strap it so it cannot sway on the road.
- We go to the market or the seller home, load what you bought and take it to your place.
- Used pieces are covered with a blanket and stretch film and carried strapped down.
- A piece within a district from SAR 65; a room between neighbouring districts from SAR 110.
- Measure the door and lift, and test appliances and beds before paying.
- Final price before loading, and we tell you honestly if the load is bigger than a dabab.

What is haraj, and when do you need a dabab?
The word haraj has two faces that every Jeddah resident knows, and each calls for its own kind of move.
Face one: the popular haraj market
Every city has a market for buying and selling everything, new and used. The best-known in Jeddah is Haraj Al Sawarikh, in the south of the city near Jeddah Port and known as the Al Mahjar district, with sub-markets where furniture, appliances, carpets and household items are sold, both new and used. You go, find what you want, but the carrying and moving is up to you.
Face two: the Haraj platform
This is a website and app for advertising anything. You find an ad for a bedroom set, a fridge or a majlis, agree with the owner, and then need someone to carry the piece from the seller home to yours. That is where the dabab comes in: it goes to the address, loads, and arrives quickly without you hiring a large truck for one piece.
| Situation | Where we load | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|
| Buying at the popular haraj market | A shop or yard in the market | You inspect there and we load immediately |
| Buying from an ad on the platform | The seller home | The appointment is arranged, and the furniture may be on an upper floor |
| Several pieces from more than one place | We stop at more than one address | Combined into one trip if the dabab has room |
| A very large piece | Depends on the place | A wanet may be needed, and we say so plainly |
Before you buy: what to check
Most problems with used furniture appear after it enters the house, when regret is no use. That is why inspection before paying is the most important step, and we suggest bringing a phone to photograph what you check.
Measuring doors and lifts
Measure the width of your flat door and lift, the lift height, the width of the stairs and the tightest turn, then compare them with the piece. A lovely wardrobe at a tempting price becomes a burden if it will not go in. Tell us the sizes, because dismantling may be the answer.
Testing appliances
Fridges, washing machines, ACs and ovens are not bought by eye. Ask for the appliance to be switched on in front of you: the fridge cooling, the washer sound and water, the oven doors and knobs. And do not rush to move a fridge before you are sure it works, because moving it and returning it doubles the trouble.
Checking beds and mattresses
Look at the bed frame and legs, shake it to check it is firm, and examine the side boards and screws. For a used mattress, ask about its condition and look closely at the stitching and cleanliness; if it is your everyday sleeping mattress, think twice before buying it used.
Wood and insects
Check the wood underneath and behind the piece: tiny holes, fine powder, damp or an odd smell are warning signs. If you find any, do not bring the piece into your home. There is no point moving something you will not keep.
Coordinating with the seller
Much of the delay in moving purchases comes from coordination: the seller is away, the flat is on an upper floor with no lift and no one said so, or the piece is still assembled and needs dismantling. So we suggest agreeing a few points with the seller before we arrive.
- The exact time, and that the seller or a representative is present.
- The floor, the lift and the stair width at the seller home.
- Whether the piece is already dismantled, or needs it, and who does it.
- A suitable parking spot for the dabab near the entrance.
- Emptying wardrobes and drawers before lifting.
If you prefer, give us the seller number and we coordinate directly, or send us the location on WhatsApp.
Loading and strapping used furniture
Used furniture needs more careful fastening than new, because its joints are a little loose and its fabric may be tired. We begin by covering exposed parts: a blanket over the sofa, cardboard corners on wardrobes and stretch film closing doors and drawers. Then we arrange the bed so the heaviest piece goes first near the front and lighter ones sit on top.

The strap goes over the cover rather than straight on the fabric or wood, so it leaves no mark. We check the straps after the first stretch of road, since loads settle and straps can slacken. Long pieces such as majlis seats get more than one strap, and small pieces are bundled together.
Cleaning and wiping before it comes in
We do not bring used furniture into the bedroom or majlis before wiping it. Dust is cleaned off, wooden surfaces are wiped with a damp cloth and dried, and fabric is aired before it settles in place. If a sofa has removable covers, wash them before use.
At the door we set the piece on a blanket or a suitable spot so it does not soil your floor, and we tell you if we notice anything worth attention, such as a smell or a trace of damp.
Moving from the market and from the seller home
When you buy at the popular market the piece is usually in a crowded spot, so loading and parking must be quick and must not block others. We reach you, call you and load what you bought after you have inspected it yourself.
At a seller home we go up to the floor and carry the piece down the stairs in ways that avoid scraping the walls, using a trolley on level ground if there is one. Many older Jeddah buildings have no lift, so we ask in advance to bring enough hands.

What do we move from haraj?
Most people who call after buying at haraj have one of these items, and each calls for its own way of carrying and fastening. Check the table before you call so you know what we watch for:
| What you bought | How we move it | What we watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Used sofas and majlis | Blanket, then stretch film and straps | Old fabric tears from rubbing, so we do not pull straps directly on it |
| Bedroom sets and beds | Frame dismantled and parts numbered | Firm legs and sound side boards |
| Fridge | Upright and secured, doors held shut | Do not switch it on straight after moving; wait as the manufacturer advises |
| Washing machine | After draining the water and securing the drum as the maker instructs | Water hoses travel separately |
| Cabinets and wardrobes | Stood on the longer side with doors film-sealed | Weak joints in older furniture |
| Carpets and rugs | Rolled, tied and laid on top of the load | Cleaned before laying at home |
| Assorted household items | In numbered cartons | Glass kept away from heavy loads |
Real examples from haraj
These examples are illustrations, and we set the final price once we know the pieces, the distance and the floor, and tell you before loading. If you bought a lot, review the list with us by phone before you go to the seller, because we may suggest a wanet instead of two dabab trips.
How we handle heavy haraj purchases
Some of what is sold at haraj is heavy and old, such as solid wooden wardrobes and older fridges. These need more hands, a clear path down and preparation before lifting. We check the bed of the truck, lay blankets under and between pieces, then lift in stages while talking to each other to avoid surprises.
And we do not gamble on a piece we doubt can take the strain. If a wooden cabinet has a crack at a joint or a loose frame, we suggest dismantling it or bracing it with film and straps to cut movement, and we tell you the move carries reasonable risk before we start, not after.
The steps from first call to handover
- Call and describe: tell us where the piece is, your district, the floor and the sizes; photos help.
- Vehicle and price: we say whether a dabab is enough or you need a wanet, and give the price and time.
- Attending the inspection: we reach the piece and you inspect it before anything is loaded.
- Dismantling if needed: large pieces are taken apart, numbered and the screws kept.
- Covering and strapping: blankets, stretch film, straps and a strap check on the road.
- Unloading at your door: pieces go up to the flat and are set where you decide.
- Assembly and final check: we rebuild what we took apart and go through the pieces with you before leaving.

Frequently asked questions
Can a dabab carry what I bought at Haraj Al Sawarikh?
Yes. A dabab suits the sofas, beds, cabinets, fridges, washing machines, carpets and household items you buy at the market. We load, strap and bring them to your door.
Do you collect from a seller I found on the Haraj platform?
Yes. Give us the seller location, your address and the pieces, and we go to the seller home, load what you bought and bring it to yours. It is best that you attend the inspection before loading.
How much does moving one piece from haraj within Jeddah cost?
A single piece within a district starts from SAR 45, a room between neighbouring districts from SAR 110, and a north-to-south Jeddah move from SAR 185.
Should I inspect the piece before you load it?
Always, before paying and before loading. Switch appliances on, try drawers and doors, look at the bed frame and check the wood. If you like, we can stand with you during the inspection.
Can I pay the seller before the dabab arrives?
We advise not paying before inspection, and meeting at a known place. Pay after you have seen the piece and are sure of it, then we load it with you.
Do you dismantle used beds and wardrobes?
Yes, and large pieces sometimes need it. We number the parts, keep the screws together and reassemble at your home. Dismantling is priced by the number of pieces, so ask for an itemised quote.
Do I need to clean used furniture before bringing it in?
Yes. We advise wiping it down outside or at the door before it enters, and airing it well. For beds and mattresses, check the wood and stitching carefully before carrying them in.
What if a piece is bigger than the door or lift?
Measure your doorway and lift before buying. If a piece is bigger we dismantle it where possible or advise on the best way. Never buy a piece before you are sure it will fit.
Do you go to Makkah and Taif?
Yes, with advance booking. Trips are priced by load and destination, so ask for a trip quote.
Does the price change after loading?
No, as long as the pieces are as you described them. We agree the price before loading, and if you buy more we tell you the difference before we start.
